Attorney Michael A. Mills, Esq., and Attorney John Moore, Esq., of the Council are founding members of Debt Assistance Law Firm.
Michael A. Mills
Attorney Michael A. Mills is no stranger to the Orlando area, having attended the University of Central Florida, where he received his B.A. in Political Science in 1995. Michael Mills then went on to study law at Florida State University College of Law, where he was a Virgil Hawkins Scholar and Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy. He received his Juris Doctor degree in April 2000.
As an Attorney, Michael Mills has spent over 6 years practicing Insurance Defense Litigation for law firms, such as The Cicchetti Law Firm and Conroy Simberg Ganon Kevans & Abel. He spent two years at a mid-sized plaintiff firm practicing personal injury and Bodily Injury before venturing out on his own with a longtime friend from law school in 2008. Over the last six years, Mr. Mills has helped build a highly successful personal injury department at Graham and Mills, Attorneys at Law. He focused on representing clients in the areas of: Personal injury, Wrongful Death, Auto Accidents, and Slip and Falls.
With over 25 years of legal experience, attorney Mills brings a powerful combination of insight, strategy, and relentless advocacy to every personal injury case he handles.
For the past 19 years, he has used that insider knowledge to fight for the injured as a dedicated plaintiff’s attorney. He has successfully represented thousands of clients in auto accidents, slip and fall cases, wrongful death claims, and severe injury cases, all with the singular goal of helping his clients secure the justice and compensation they deserve.

John Moore
Attorney John Moore received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2000 from The Florida State University College of Law, where he served as the Writing and Research Editor of The Florida State University Law Review. He also received his BS, with distinction, in Business Administration from Florida A&M University in 1996.
Prior to starting the firm, John was a senior associate at the law firm of Powell Goldstein LLP located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he concentrated his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, bankruptcy litigation, real estate law, real estate litigation, and commercial litigation.
Attorney Moore is also very active in the community and various legal organizations. He is an active member of the National Bar Association, the Chair of the National Bar Association’s Small Firms and Solo Practitioners’ Division, and a Past Chair of the National Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division. Attorney Moore is also a member of the Gate City Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the 2006 class of Lead Atlanta, a leadership program for young professionals. He was also selected, on multiple occasions, as a Georgia Super Lawyer’s Rising Star, and in 2011 and 2013, he was chosen by Georgia Trend as one of Georgia’s Top Attorneys.
